Saint Bonnet de Mure, 13 July 2016 - Mersen (Euronext FR0000039620 – MRN) launches a brand-new innovative solution for switching 4 poles in a row in the renewables and 5-pole network markets.

In Mersen’s offering for electrical protection a specific  focus has been made on DIN fuse system. MULTIVERT® and MULTIBLOC® are the product brand names of low voltage NH fuse switch disconnectors. These modular products are applied in cable distribution cabinets, feeder pillars, transformer substations, switchboards in industry and commercial buildings.

New trends are emerging in renewable energy and 5-pole network markets. In the feed-in points of PV plants with regards to the first one and in the network transfer points to end users with regards to the second one a 4-pole switching is now required. Especially there is a normative requirement through DIN VDE 0100-460 standard for a mandatory 4-pole switching in TT networks (this switching is allowed in TN-S and TN-C-S systems).

Mersen is offering a brand-new and innovative solution for 4-pole switching in these applications. The new MULTIVERT® 630A 4P (3P+N) NH fuse switch disconnector is dedicated to grid disconnection in renewables and building markets.

It is the first solution in the market switching four poles (L1, L2, L3, N) in a row. It is a vertical device to be mounted on the 185mm power bus bar system. It is easy to operate fast with the help of two handles to grasp with both hands at the same time.

The key benefit of MULTIVERT® 630A 4P (3P+N) for the customer is the providing of space savings in electrical boards and cabinets thanks to its 100mm width only.

One more time Mersen is paving the road of safer, more reliable and further improved electrical power.
