PTRV knife switch

Mersen is providing compact, safe and reliable on board knife switch. 
These devices offer high performances and robustness for heavy duty requirements with very limited maintenance and whole life of the train.
This device answers to applications under 600VDC.
Our standard Knife Switch range is rigorously engineered to meet your technical specifications in different configurations.

Uses of Knife Switch

Mersen Knife Switches are designed to be very compact and light with a modular and flexible design to meet your electrical circuit configuration.
They are operated manually with of an isolated handle.
They are designed to withstand up to 25.000 cycles (open-close)
To guarantee this efficiency, Mersen is testing them internally and with external partners.

The knife switch can operate under 600VDC and 800 Amp.
